Getting Your Wardrobe Ready for Autumn
Every year there is that same time period
when school has just started and life is getting "back to normal".
People begin to think of their Autumnal activities and unpack their fall wardrobes.
However, sometimes the weather just doesn't quite line up with our intentions
and remains capricious for a few months. During the transition period it can be
difficult to know how to dress for warm outdoors, cold, air conditioned
buildings, and cooler mornings and evenings. Here are some ideas to help you
transfer your summer wardrobe into the fall / Autumn season while staying comfortable.
This summer floral skirts and dresses were
very Fusion Studios. Now that we are transitioning into Autumn doesn't mean that you must
stop wearing your pretty summer floral however. Instead, simply pair your
floral skirts and dresses with dark accessories. Brown boots, black belts, or a
jean jacket can all help keep your flowery outfits blooming for a longer
period. Light, summer dresses also pair well with blazers and jackets as an
easy transition into fall. Plus, blazers are a perfect business appropriate way
to stay warm in buildings that haven't turned off their air conditioning for
the winter.
Of course, the number one Fusion Studios tip that everyone
has heard before for transitioning into fall is layering. To keep from looking
like a molting bird, keep the number three in mind. Just wearing three separates
or three colors at a time. That way you will be comfortable and trendy at the
same time. It's also a good idea to put a structured piece like a blazer with
more frilly pieces like a flirty skirt or ruffled blouse.
Having several basic summer pieces can be a
huge advantage when transitioning into fall as well. That flirty summer
sundress you love? Leggings and boots can keep you warm and stylish. If you
have a summer item that you just aren't ready to stop wearing once the weather
turns cold- don't! Try to think of new ways to layer it with colder-weather
clothing to get more out of your wardrobe and make fall one of your fashion statement seasons of the year.
Some items of clothing can come back year
after year, but some just can’t. If you don’t know what to do with all of last
season’s gear, you could get rid of it easily and help the less fortunate by
donating it to a charity shop. If the items are worth a lot of money you could
auction them off online and donate the proceeds to charity.
